How Can Email Marketing Boost Sales For A Business? (Are You Leaving Money On The Table?)

If you are asking the question “how can email marketing boost sales for a business?” Then I can only assume that you are currently leaving a massive amount of money on the table.

Look, from your question it’s very clear to me that your bottom line is you want to boost sales for your business. But to answer your question properly, I first need to ascertain whether you have a website or not.

Now don’t worry, it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a website, you can still easily boost sales for your business with email marketing. It’s just that you will have to things a bit differently.

It will be a lot easier for you do email marketing though with a website.

If you already have a website, but you had it professionally designed by a web designer, and it’s just a static website with some pages, and it’s sole activity is just sitting on the internet and looking pretty (in other words it’s not boosting your sales) then my guess is you will need a second website specifically for email marketing purposes.

Don’t worry it’s a lot easier than you think!

I’ll explain in another post exactly how to set up a second website for email marketing. But for now I’ll explain why you are losing sales hand over fist, the longer you procrastinate setting up an email marketing campaign.

Ok let’s firstly assume that you do have a website.

A potential customer arrives at your website. Perhaps that customer found your website in one of the business directories where you left a link.

Or perhaps they saw your website advertised somewhere, in a newspaper, or magazine. Or maybe your web address was written on the side of a van.

The fact is when you have a website advertising for you on the internet, your potential customers will be coming from a variety of sources.

Now here’s the catch…

And this is extremely important, so listen carefully.

Did you know, that when a potential customer visit’s a website for the first time, they are very unlikely to do business with you?

It doesn’t matter what you are selling, very few people visiting any website for the first time will buy something, and that’s why I know you’re leaving a ton of money on the table.

And that’s where email marketing comes in.

Email marketing can boost your sales immensely, and it works no matter what business you're in. Whether you're a Lawyer in Washington, or a hairdresser in Livingston. The same principles apply all over the world.

How?

Email marketing can boost your sales by capturing the email addresses of the vast majority of people that will visit your website, and then click away, never to be seen again.

You simply need to grab there attention, and lure them into what’s called an opt in box. Where in exchange for some free information, they submit their email address.

If you don’t do this, then you’re going to lose the sale with most of the visitors that come to your website. Whereas if you install a simple opt in box (it’s easy peazy) you will have a system in place to build a list of email addresses. That’s where the big money is, and how you will make the bulk of your sales.

How does it work?

All those potential customers that normally would have clicked away, and been lost forever, you will now have a good percentage of them on your email list.

When you are subscribed to an auto responder service, it will contact those people regularly with helpful information that solves their problems, gives them helpful advice, and just maintain a friendly healthy relationship.

Of course they will always have a link to your sales page, for whenever they have a need to purchase your products or services.

Email marketing, is still pretty foreign to most business owners, so it is highly likely that your competitors are completely unaware of the profit pulling potential of having an email marketing system specifically designed for business owners in place.

Yet even the business owners that are aware of the cost effective power email marketing has to boost their sales, many of them are put off. Why?

What’s the biggest reason that makes small business owners shy away from email marketing? It’s because of the fact that they will have to provide the content, that is to be emailed to the prospects.

If that’s how you feel to, then bookmark this site now, as you’ll want to be coming back for more. I am going to show you how unbelievably easy it is to do all of the above, and boost your sales like crazy.

Writing For Hub pages - The Secret To Where The Big Money Is (Can You Guess?)

If you’ve already got a business to promote, or even an idea for a business, then writing for hub pages can be a fantastic way to drive customers to your business website.

Hubpages promotes the idea that you can make money writing for them, through affiliate programs such as ad sense, eBay, and Amazon etc. And some have made, and are continuing to make quite a lot of money doing just that.

But in my humble opinion, I would like to advise you that if you want to make money from simply writing articles on Hubpages then you will have a lot of writing ahead of you.

The reality is that the majority of writers on Hubpages barely earn anything at all. Especially after the latest Google penguin update destroyed Hubpages results in the search engines.

There was once a time where you could write an article in Hubpages, using keywords in the title that had lots of people searching for it, and lo and behold your article would appear on the first page of the Google search results. But not any more I’m afraid.

So what’s the secret to where the big money is writing for Hubpages?

Well as I said at the start of this article, the secret is not to rely solely on Hubpages to get found in the search engines but to use Hubpages as a tool.

Hubpages can be useful in directing customers to your main website as part of your SEO strategy, or by using Hubpages as part of your social media campaign.

Having a link to your main website will tell Google it’s popular, and getting involved socially will prove to Google that you are a real person, and not just a spammer with a few posts.

You will also drive customers to your site from the massive community that are currently writing on Hubpages.

Nevertheless, if you want to make big money from writing on the internet, it will still require an extensive amount of article writing. The secret is being found all over the internet from a variety of sources. Each article that you write should direct customers to click on your website.

To make big money writing, you need to write - a LOT. Lots of internet writers have an unfair advantage though, to find out what it is, check out this free video

Writing For Hub pages - Are You Making This Cash Sucking Blunder When You Write For Hubpages? (you’ll kick yourself)

Unless I am greatly mistaken, I would imagine that the majority of people writing for Hubpages, have the intention at some stage in the game to earn money.

So without wasting any time, I’m going to dive straight into what I would consider a major cash sucking blunder hubbers make, that prohibits their potential  to make money as writers on Hubpages.

Here it is: Their hub is way too long.

It is well known that content is king on the internet, yet it’s still wildly debatable whether having a 3000 word article will attract more visitors from the internet (or anywhere else for that matter) over a well written 500 word article.

I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with writing a long article on Hubpages. Indeed I’ve come across many very beautiful and insightful hubs that are extremely long, interesting, and helpful.

My point is, that a lot of the longer hubs full of intense information could be broken down into smaller, more bite sized hubs.

This would benefit the writer because she would find it much easier to blast out 4 bite sized  500 word hubs, as opposed to one lengthy 2000 word hub.

On top of that both scenarios would take approximately the same time to complete.

Think about that for a minute.

It would also quadruple her ability to make money from her hub writing efforts. She would have 4 hubs out there on the internet working 24/7 as opposed to just one. She would have 4 sets of Google adverts as opposed to just the one Google advert. All for more or less the same effort.

A lot of people think that they need to cram as much information as they possibly can when they’re composing they’re hub, but it’s simply not necessary.

The fact of the matter is, the more you bombard your reader with information overload, quite frankly the less they will remember.

Obviously there are exceptions to this rule. For example if you want to write a short story to entertain your audience a 500 word article probably won’t cut it.

But if you want to teach with your writing on Hubpages, then  you need to keep things simple. After you’ve compiled all the thoughts you want to get across,  and prepared your material, you will almost always find that you have too much information.

So the more material you take away, and leave for writing another hub, the simpler, and more digestible you will make it. You will be benefiting both your reader and yourself.

You will keep your reader informed in a light and entertaining way, that will keep them wanting to come back for more, and you will make more money due to the sheer volume of articles you will be writing.
