Writing For Hub pages - Are You Making This Cash Sucking Blunder When You Write For Hubpages? (you’ll kick yourself)

Unless I am greatly mistaken, I would imagine that the majority of people writing for Hubpages, have the intention at some stage in the game to earn money.

So without wasting any time, I’m going to dive straight into what I would consider a major cash sucking blunder hubbers make, that prohibits their potential  to make money as writers on Hubpages.

Here it is: Their hub is way too long.

It is well known that content is king on the internet, yet it’s still wildly debatable whether having a 3000 word article will attract more visitors from the internet (or anywhere else for that matter) over a well written 500 word article.

I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with writing a long article on Hubpages. Indeed I’ve come across many very beautiful and insightful hubs that are extremely long, interesting, and helpful.

My point is, that a lot of the longer hubs full of intense information could be broken down into smaller, more bite sized hubs.

This would benefit the writer because she would find it much easier to blast out 4 bite sized  500 word hubs, as opposed to one lengthy 2000 word hub.

On top of that both scenarios would take approximately the same time to complete.

Think about that for a minute.

It would also quadruple her ability to make money from her hub writing efforts. She would have 4 hubs out there on the internet working 24/7 as opposed to just one. She would have 4 sets of Google adverts as opposed to just the one Google advert. All for more or less the same effort.

A lot of people think that they need to cram as much information as they possibly can when they’re composing they’re hub, but it’s simply not necessary.

The fact of the matter is, the more you bombard your reader with information overload, quite frankly the less they will remember.

Obviously there are exceptions to this rule. For example if you want to write a short story to entertain your audience a 500 word article probably won’t cut it.

But if you want to teach with your writing on Hubpages, then  you need to keep things simple. After you’ve compiled all the thoughts you want to get across,  and prepared your material, you will almost always find that you have too much information.

So the more material you take away, and leave for writing another hub, the simpler, and more digestible you will make it. You will be benefiting both your reader and yourself.

You will keep your reader informed in a light and entertaining way, that will keep them wanting to come back for more, and you will make more money due to the sheer volume of articles you will be writing.
